Welcome Kamryn Elizabeth Schroeder!!! Yeay! She was born this afternoon weighing in at 7lbs 6oz and 20inches. I am dying to meet her. Both mommy and baby are doing awesome! I love Kamryn soooo much already:)

ok lets talk about birthday cakes and being a mom and attempting to make birthday cakes. who knew there was so much pressure (ok maybe the pressure comes from just me)?

so my lovely daughter requested a "round green cake" for her birthday, i thought sure this would be easy. plus i've made many double layered cakes. anywho...i baked the chocolate cakes last night, flipped them and let them cool. everything going good, right? well then it came time to frost it. I frosted the bottom layer and then put the top layer on, frosted that too....that's when it went bad. the top layer slowly broke into 3 pieces!! lovely. So i attempted to save it by putting long toothpicks in it and extra frosting. well the cracks were not as severe but for sure there!!! so i took paper flowers and covered the cracks and put pink frosting on it... what you get is a very lumpy, tacky birthday cake. poor miley:(

Cooper has now started crawling. Since he discovered he can move independently he has NOT stopped moving! He also started playing peek-a-boo. He is really enjoying eating more and more food.
