Aunt and Uncle

We are the proud new Aunt and Uncle of Molly Elizabeth. Mindy surprised us all my going into labor 6 1/2 weeks early. Molly was born last evening at around 8:30 weighing in at 4 lbs 12 oz. Molly is being closely watched right now due to her lungs not being fully developed. The doctors state she will be fine but please pray for good health so that Mindy and Jeff can hold their daughter. Eric and I are so excited to see her this weekend. We are flying home for Christmas late Friday night.

Thanksgiving For Two

Macy's Day Parade...

Wish we could have set more place settings...

We both decided that we are not fans of turkey so we grilled big, fat steaks.

We had not one, not two but three pies for just the two of us. And these beautiful pies were created by Eric (a sweet potato pie and pumpkin).

It's official

Wow, we really are going to be parents. It was a lot of fun to see our baby today and watch it move around. It is so crazy that this baby is inside of me.

Goodbye Wolfes!

Eric and I spent this past weekend helping our friends/neighbors pack up to move back home. We will sure miss having them up the street from us [and Eric will miss Jason as his assistant manager]. Half of me wanted to pack a bag and move with them back to the midwest and closer to family. But I've been learning more lately how God truely is my provider and know my needs.

The Plank

The Adventures of Rufus

Yup, the Rufus strikes again. Today I was really looking forward to my day off. I was going to wash the car, take the dog to the vet, golf a round, pick up Amy after work and spend the evening playing a church league softball game. I made it as far as the vet, and thats where things went downhill. I took the dog to the vet for an infected cut on his stomach that wasn't going away on its own which ended up being a two inch wood plank that was lodged in his chest. The vet said surgery was the only option or the plank could make its way into his organs. So after $600 a cancelled golf round and softball game we have a groggy but now healthy puppy.

The Power of Water

This is the only entrance to my nursing home where I work -A bridge. Last weekends flooding was powerful enough to wipe away our bridge. Therefore, this week of work has been overwhelming and interesting to say the least. I am having to park a half mile away where I then call for someone at work to get me and bring me to work. We use a neighbor's driveway and hike through their backyard to our parking lot. I'm not sure how much longer the neighbor will be so kind. They are working on a temporary road from the neighbor's driveway and rebuilding the bridge. It makes my job busy--constantly on the phone to families. Can't say life is boring.

Easter Fun

what a cute couple
We had a lot of fun when Mom and Dad came out for Easter. They were able to stay for a week. We were able to go into the city twice which included a visit to the following: statue of liberty, empire state building, times square, "mary poppins" on broadway, the NYC library, a taping of the late show with david letterman and the Today show (i'm sure i'm missing something).

Mom had fun ordering coffee from Ruppert.

Camp Season?

Just when we thought all the snow was melted... Last Friday we got approximately a foot and a half of snow. The snow caused Eric to be stuck in Montana and SD for a couple of days. But sun or snow the KOA crew is working hard to get opening weekend ready, which is next weekend!!!

Something Old and Something New

We had a great team of angels watching over us last Sunday. We were on our way to church
when somebody decided to take a left hand turn right into us. There was no time to stop. Fortunately we had our seat belts on and both air bags worked beautifully. I was taken to the ER (that is the third ER trip I've taken in our short marraige). Blessed again, we found out I just had back and neck spasms and Eric was sore. It's amazing how things can change in seconds, we are so thankful we all walked away from the accident.
On a lighter note we purchased a new vechicle already. An Xtera, we really enjoy it; even Rufus took to it right away.

Sisterly Fun

Mindy came out for a long weekend. We had a good time, especially at "Mary Poppins"
Thanks for coming and seeing us sis!
