Working Woman

Wow, what a week!!! I decided to drop my resume off at a nursing home needing a part-time social worker just to see what they needed. Long story short, I had an interview on Tuesday (yesterday) and got offered the job today.

I had a sleepless night last night wondering what was best for Miley and Cooper and myself (okay Eric too). The social worker I will be working for gave me the name of her in-home daycare provider. So we went as a family to meet with her tonight. Wow, God is amazing!!!! This lady-Jenny-is awesome. Her family is great too. They live in a nice neighborhood 1 minute from the nursing home. And she is a Christian!!!!!!!! Praise God. Miley didn't want to leave. I felt such peace and the presence of God while we were there. All my reservations about working part-time are gone. Yes, it still will be hard to leave Cooper and Miley but they will love it at Jenny's! As we were leaving I said to Eric "I guess God wants me to go back to work."

2 1/2 Year Old Update

I am really enjoying the age of 2! Miley is so much fun and makes me laugh often. She is learning so many new things every day. Miley is now potty trained and loves to announce every time she uses it. The first time she went #2 in the potty I happened to be taking a shower...she dragged her potty all the way into our bathroom, opened the lid and announced "mommy, look I pooped." Her speech is getting so good, and we are amazed daily on the sentences that come out of her mouth. She also is loving sitting at the table and eating with us rather than her high chair...which is pretty comical. She continues to be a great big sister to Cooper. Okay I'm done bragging about my daughter:)...[for now...:)]

3 Months Old!

Wow, Cooper is growing!!! We love his smile and think we have heard him laugh:) He is holding his head up really well now. We got his 3 month pictures taken today...was hoping to get a nice sibling picture but Miley and Cooper didn't think that was a good idea.

This use to be a dog run. Eric tied on a kiddy swing and now it's a "Miley run." She absolutely loves it!

We went to dollar days at the horse races. We let Miley pick the winning horse. But the horse came in a close second...lost all 2 dollars.

Tara and Mason (along with Nils) came over for dinner this past weekend. We enjoy hanging out with them!

Wow, what a week! We got to introduce Cooper to Aunt Hillary. And we got to go to Urgent Care twice, the ER once and back to the hospital for 24 hours! We are happy to report that Eric is doing great!! We were so thankful to have Hillary here, not sure what I would have done without her help!!

Another Sickness Update

Guess what we got to do again this morning??? We made another trip to the Urgent Care clinic. Eric was unable to sleep last night because his throat was so swollen he couldn't swallow. Any who they shot him with 2 shots, one was an antibiotic and the other was a steroid shot. He is sleeping and we are hoping he wakes up a new man:) I on the other hand am doing well and so are both kids.

Later today....Eric is now at the ER due to no improvement. Hillary took him since they don't allow infants in the ER and Cooper won't take a bottle. But I'm getting texts updates all the time. Sounds like he is getting the full work up.
